A truly great place to get away from it all, leave the stress of every day life as you enter your lodge and enjoy. Mr G, Skelmersdale, Lancashire 24 February 2011
I really enjoyed my stay and would love to go again. My holiday at Griffon Forest was one of the best holidays I've had in a long time. Miss H, Hartlepool, Cleveland 21 February 2011
Poachers Premier: Relaxing secret hideaway to dream, relax and to indulge in each other and forget about life for a while. A perfect romantic holiday - OR - Get there, don't unpack, pop the champagne, submerge in hot tub, take in the wildlife around you, go to Jacuzzi, pop into a nice, cosy comfortable warm bed, breakfast in bed and then repeat!!! But most of all indulge in each other, look into each other's eyes and tell them how much you love them, you are my life, my world and nothing will ever come between us!!! Love us, Mr & Mrs Borg (finally yippee) Miss O, Accrington, Lancashire 10 February 2011
Wonderful weekend, a must for all!! Didn't want to come home, staff were lovely of what we saw (which tells you we weren't bombarded and were left to our own devices, heaven) Hot tub a must, no matter what time of year. Lots of friends are booking after our stay, we didn't shut up about it!!! Highly recommend it! Mrs B, Stockport, Cheshire 27 January 2011
My holiday was the best holiday I've ever had in regards to relaxing and total unwinding. I would recommed the Griffin Lodges to anyone wanting to simply "get away from it all" 100% loved the break and planning on making this an annual retreat. Mr S, Chesterfield, Derbyshire 18 January 2011
A first class location in a lovely lodge, would have no hesitation in recommending this holiday to friends. Mrs F, Oldham, Lancashire 07 January 2011
I would recommend Griffon Forest over and over again... so pleased... we had a fabulous time and the log cabin was just luxurious, couldn't of wished for anything better. The staff were fab and will definitely return again next year. A definite must place to stay for a romantic break. Mrs H, Harlow, Essex 11 December 2010
Lovely peaceful relaxing weekend, lodge was out of this world, amazing, a must for anyone wanting to relax. Mr L, Coldstream, Berwickshire 12 October 2010
A great relaxing countryside hideaway with easy access to the city centre. Miss W, Sandhurst, Berkshire 21 September 2010
The perfect getaway. Mr W, Smethwick, West Midlands 09 September 2010
This was our first time in a log cabin, we thought it might be a caravan holiday without the wheels. How wrong could we have been. The cabin was luxury itself with everything we could have needed. The reception we had from the park staff was so friendly, it was like visiting relatives. After thirty years of marriage, this break allowed us a relaxing time to re-connect. Walks in woods, wine sat in our secluded hot tub, Jacuzzi, six foot bath and a four poster bed. And finally we made friends with two squirrels that came to our door each morning for breakfast. Definitely going back again, thinking of Christmas there. Griffon Forest, thank you very much. Mr B, Castleford, West Yorkshire 04 September 2010
We stayed in the Poachers Premier log cabin, simply luxury. We had four nights but now wished we had booked longer. The staff were so friendly, the location superb and the squirrels were very funny. This was a break to recharge our batteries and reconnect after thirty years marriage, and it worked on both counts. From long walks in the woods to sipping wine in our secluded hot tub, to watching films on the wide-screen curled up on the big leather sofas. A different world and we will be back! Mr B, Castleford, West Yorkshire 03 September 2010
The Premier Poacher's Lodge was just as it looked in the picture. The finishing touches of chocolates, champagne, roses and fully prepared tea tray were icing on the cake. A peaceful and beautiful surrounding. An idyllic place to spend a romantic break. What better way to relax than lying in the hot tub with gentle rain falling watching the birds and the squirrel eating the nuts from the table. The jacuzzi bath and shower were wonderful. The map provided of the trails around the site were perfect for a gentle stroll. Altogether a fabulous holiday in a fabulous location, a dash of decadence, lashings of luxury and plenty of peace and quiet, a great recipe for a relaxing, romantic break. Mrs D, ATHERSTONE, Warwickshire 15 August 2010

Griffon Forest is the perfect place if a romantic break is what your after. On arrival there were roses chocolates and campagne. If that is not enough there is a hot tub jucuzzi bath and enormous walk in shower, it was impossible to know what to do first. The week was gone too quickly. Can't wait to return. Mrs P, SALISBURY 08 August 2010

I would recommend my holiday becuase of the location and the log cabins quality and facilities. It is situated in a beautiful area with peace and tranquilty, and is a perfect holiday destination to unwind. Being only 6 miles outside of York is another bonus to the holiday as this is perfect for sight-seeing and shopping in the historical, cobbled streets and buildings. Miss M, LIVERPOOL 16 December 2009
A wonderful lodge in a beautiful location - what a fabulous short break away! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for a tranquil, relaxing and peaceful break away from it all. Tykes resturant on site serves excellent food and is very good value for money, even giving lodge guests 10% discount. An 18 hole golf course is right on the doorstep for those budding golfers - 5 star!! Mrs S, PRESTON 07 October 2009
A great holiday, excellent facilities, and ideal location and helpful and friendly staff. Mr C, WORKSOP 18 August 2009
Griffon Forest was the best possible find for us for our honeymoon. We had 5 days of bliss, peace and relaxation and all only a few hours drive away, I can't recommend it enough! Miss M, King;s Lynn 08 August 2009
We stayed in a luxury log cabin in Yorkshire and it was an excellent holiday. We stayed for a long weekend which was way too short so we will definitely be returning for a longer period. The cabins were like having a huge luxury apartment to ourselves with a large four poster bed, spa bath, double shower, full kitchen, living room with some sky tv channels, but best of all the jacuzzi outside on the decking overlooking the tranquil woods. An extremely relaxing holiday 0 I would definitely recommend it. Mr V, LITTLEHAMPTON 17 July 2009
I think it was a lovely romantic break for 2 and away from it all. Mrs M, BRACKNELL, Berkshire 09 July 2009
A fantastic wedding anniversary treat! Mrs. T, NEWTON AYCLIFFE 28 June 2009
The location was ideal, close to the main road but far enough not to hear. The surroundings were perfect, it was our honeymoon and we felt this was an ideal location - peaceful and the lodges were outstanding and well worth the price. We would go there again! Mr T, IRVINE 18 June 2009
I was amazed by the lodge when we first arrived, it was gorgeous, very homely and very clean. Miss R, LEEDS 18 June 2009
Our holiday was amazing, we wish we had stayed for longer. The lodge was amazing and I would recommend it to everyone. Thank you for the most wonderful holiday. I rate Poachers Premier lodge higher than a holiday in the sun abroad! Thank you once again! Mrs F, Castleford, West Yorkshire 23 March 2009
Griffin Forest is perfect for a relaxing break. The accommodation was to a very high standard with a hot tub, jaccuzi and four poster bed - what more could anyone want. Set in a beautiful tranquil setting we had a wonderful honeymoon in a Poachers Premier Lodge and we didn't want to leave! Mr L, Enniskillen, County Fermanagh 07 March 2009

This lodge was a fantastic find, the large corner Jacuzzi bath was fantastic, the four poster bed so comfy, and the hot tub was excellent. The forest in which the lodge was located was romantic, we walked through the forest to Tykes for a fabulous meal.
